Summer Hill Aims To Bring Boutique To Phra Khanong

21 Jul 2017

Boutique Prha Khanong 1 Limited, a subsidiary of Boutique Corporation Public Company Limited, announced plans for its newest development, Summer Hill. The summer-inspired community mall will be located on Phra Khanong and is expected to open later this year.

The mixed-use development has retail space, cafes, restaurants, a fitness centre, and co-working space. The project will be close to the Phra Khanong BTS station in a neighbourhood that doesn’t have much in the way of modern shopping options. Summer Hill is going to feature a mix of outdoor and indoor space as well as a clear glass façade design.

“After conducting extensive market research, we began to see the potential for Phra Khanong to become Bangkok’s next trendy, upmarket neighborhood. We decided to open Summer Hill here as we realized there’s nothing quite like it in the area or planned for the next couple of years. We also have experience of developing in Sukhumvit, having launched numerous real estate projects in the area so far. There’s a real need for a quality lifestyle-oriented mixed-use development,” says Prab Thakral, President and Group CEO of Boutique Corporation, in a press release.

Boutique Corporation has experience developing hospitality projects in Thailand and was responsible for Southeast Asia’s 1st Hyatt Place, which is located in Phuket. The company has launched over 10 projects and has several more in the pipeline. Its most notable retail development is Rain Hill on Sukhumvit Road.

“As Boutique has extensive experience and expertise across a variety of sectors in the Sukhumvit area, we are perfectly placed to capitalise on the ongoing trend for mixed-use developments in the marketplace. Mixed-use buildings can often be the key to revitalizing and brightening underdeveloped areas, while also being more energy efficient, sustainable, and more in line with modern urban lifestyles. For example, people nowadays no longer want to spend so much time commuting to work or play,” says Prab.
