Not only land prices are the highest in Chidlom, so are the sense of urban living too. Chidlom is an upscale sphere, a connecting point between Siam and the start of Sukhumvit Road that stretches to the eastern region of Thailand. The area is composed of premium shopping malls Central Chidlom and Central Embassy, two paradises for various nationals who come to splurge on brand-name products in free time. Central Chidlom accentuates a more retro-feeling with its establishment in 1973, while Central Embassy, which came several decades after in mid-2014, epitomizes state-of-the-art developments, yet both are indispensable for Chidlom’s deluxe chemistry. Another crucial element is the public transit BTS Chidlom, one of the most populated stations besides Siam. It has a skywalk connecting to Central Chidlom on one side, while the other side leads toward Siam Station and connected to Central World in mid-way. The buzzing sound of people, of course, are here from the morning rushes to work, to the stream of them heading back home at the end of the day, but that really signifies the immensity of Chidlom.

28 Chidlom is located on Chidlom Road 250 metres from BTS Chidlom, a walkable distance. Chidlom Road is a four-lane one-way street, as if you come by a car, you need to enter the street from Phetchaburi Road. At its exit on Phloen Chit Road, which has a traffic light, you can only go straight toward Lang Suan Road or turn right toward Siam zone. The vicinity comprises several upmarket shopping complexes with Central Chidlom being the closest one, situated just 180 metres or around 3-minute walk away. Unlike modern department stores or new community malls which aim to be chic and stylish, Central Chidlom’s aura represents opulence and classic luxury, its heritage that has been carried through almost half a century. Eclectic range of brand-name shops, fine dining restaurants, coveted cosmetic products, supermarket and so forth all dwell here; the only absence is the cinema which you could find at other nearby upscale malls. Central Embassy’s cinemas charge fairly higher than the average, up to a thousand baht per seat, while Siam Paragon’s would charge a few hundred baht lower; still, it’s worth a try to have a grand moment once in a while. Besides high-end shopping complexes, a more casual hangout could be taken at The Portico Langsuan, a 5-storey coummunity mall located on Lang Suan Road, packed with restaurants, salons, beauty shops and retails. The foods are varied from Thai to Japanese, French, and Organic. In addition, there’s a laundry service operating on the basement floor, and a real-estate-agent firm 21 Century operating on the first floor. Besides, there’s a new community mall to be sat on Phetchaburi Road, a part of the mixed-use project Smile Square Bangkok which comprises a luxury hotel, high-rise condo, and grade-A office, however the construction is still underway.
Analysis
“28 Chidlom’s starting price is expected to reach THB 450,000 baht per square metre within four years from now,” revealed the developer. Regarding the facts that 28 Chidlom is the last project on Chidlom Road and land price in CBD which increases annually by a decent number, the statement sounds plausible.
