New record set for Phuket condo

By Andrew Batt:

Media reports suggest that a new record price for a Phuket condominium has been set.

The sale of a condo at the exclusive Royal Phuket Marina on the island is reported to have taken place for THB98 million.

The buyer of the four-bed property on the waterfront, which also boasts a drive-in boat garage, is said to be a Russian national.

“This is the most expensive freehold condominium ever sold in Phuket,” said Royal Phuket Marina general manager Mert Ulusoy in an interview with Property Report South East Asia.

“With all the properties sold this year, RPM might be one of the most successful developments in Phuket,” he added.
