DDproperty.com announces its presence in Phuket

28 Nov 2012

DDproperty.com, Thailand’s number one property website and part of the PropertyGuru Group – Asia’s leading property portal group – has picked Phuket as its first stop to expand its services on a regional level.  This move is part of the property portal’s expansion into the Kingdom’s major property hotspots such as Chiang Mai, Pattaya, and Hua Hin.
Jedsadakorn Na Lamphun, DDproperty’s Country Manager, said that Thailand’s property market has shown active growth this year, especially within the major cities. From the latest buyers’ sentiment survey conducted by the company covering Q3/2012, Phuket, Pattaya, Hua Hin and Hat Yai were identified as the four most popular locations where buyers and investors would like to spend money on properties.
He added that the launch of DDproperty.com to the Phuket market is a big and important move as the market on the island has become as vibrant and competitive as that in Bangkok. During the past few months the island has seen a number of projects launched by big and small developers on the island. Bangkok-based developers have also been increasingly active.
“Phuket is not only a highly developed city, it is also considered one of the country’s important economic hubs. We can see this from the new developments and improvements to public facilities which have happened during the recent past. In terms of the property market, new launches have reflected the current demands from local buyers and foreign investors who have seen increasing opportunities and potential in the market”, said Jedsadakorn.
The Phuket property market boasts a wide client base of local and international players. The arrival of DDproperty.com will take this booming industry to the next level by integrating its effective online marketing strategies and services, allowing consumers to access a very extensive property database locally and globally.
Jedsadakorn added that the number of people searching property online has increased by 30 percent in the last 12 months, based on latest Google Insights analysis. This same trend is also reflected in DDproperty.com where key metrics have increased by more than 100 percent year-on-year. The website currently generates more than 2 million visits per month.

“We have more than 140,000 properties listed on our website and have noticed a growing number of Phuket listing – numbers of which have doubled from last year. We believe in the strength of this market. After our debut in Phuket we are hoping that our Phuket database will become second to none and answer all the needs for all property hunters.
“Apart from the extensive listings, we also have our daily property news in both English and Thai where readers can catch up with the latest property news from around Thailand and around the world.
“We are committed to help promote the Thai property industry as a whole, and our first venture in Phuket will be collaboration with the Phuket Real Estate Association, where we will launch the first Phuket Property Show, which will take place from January 17-23, 2013, at Central Festival Phuket,” concluded Jedsadakorn.
