EXCLUSIVE: By Andrew Batt:
Increasing sales of property in Thailand have contributed to a record-breaking month for global property investment firm Knight Knox International.
The U.K.-based company sold 120 units during the month – a 20 percent increase on its previous record-breaking month which saw 100 unit sales in March. More than 15 percent of its total global sales in July were of Thailand property, and that number is on the rise on the back of increasing interest in property in Thailand.
Samantha Jones, Head of Marketing, told DDProperty.com: “Our main focus has traditionally been Pattaya, but we have recently extended our reach into Hua Hin, Phuket and Bang Saray. Our latest email marketing campaign for Bang Saray has been tremendously well received, and we have sold 10 units within two weeks of it coming onto the market.
Jeremy Knight, Knight Knox International’s Managing Director, added: “Hitting 100 sales in a month was one of my original aims for the team and I am absolutely delighted with this latest result. Since the property crash in 2008 most firms saw a downturn in sales, but as a company, we are experiencing an increasing demand for investment property in both the UK and overseas markets”.
The Manchester-based property investment firm is experiencing phenomenal growth, attributing its success to what it describes as careful selection of properties in a diverse range of countries around the world. Many are sold on an exclusive basis.
Knight added: “I am immensely proud of the entire team and this steady growth has assured us that the decisions we are making as a company are solid, in our aim to become the UK’s leading property investment firm.”
Andrew Batt, International Group Editor for PropertyGuru, said: "The fact that overseas interest in Thailand property is increasing will come as no surprise to industry watchers. Even in recent weeks the number of sales to overseas buyers has been increasing – especially to buyers from elsewhere in Southeast Asia but more so from European buyers who, it’s widely acknowledged, have been largely absent in significant numbers from the report property markets for several years."
