Living life in the dog house

29 Jan 2013

By Andrew Batt:

One
Bangkok developer has taken the adage ‘dogs are a man’s best friend’ to
a new level by tailoring condominium units in their latest development
especially for pampered pooches.

The second phase in Happy Condo
in Ladprao 101 is being marketed as a condominium for pets. Features
include pet-friendly ventilation, non-slip flooring, non-scratch walls
and hidden wiring. A dog swimming pool, dog park and a play area for
dogs are also promised.

Microchip scanning of dogs is also in place to prevent dogs going walkies without their owners.

A
community mall, 101 Happy Avenue, also forms part of the development
and includes shops and services aimed directly at dogs and their owners.

More
than 90 percent of the one-bedroom units, priced from THB1.99 million,
have been already been sold, with owners and their dogs expected to move
in during April.
