UK property developer Vita Student which specialises in hotel-standard accommodation for students has partnered with Savills to help market its 158-unit Crosshall development in Liverpool.
Julian Sedgwick, Head of Business Development at Savills, said: “The attractive yields and low entry prices have led to student accommodation being widely reported as the UK’s best asset class. However due to the recent increase in tuition fees for domestic students the accommodation market is changing. We expect to see an escalation in the number of international students opting to study in the UK. This will lead to a surge in demand for high quality self contained units in central locations."
Vita Student offers buyers the chance to own student property at affordable prices. It opened an office in Singapore last year catering to the strong demand from Asia Pacific buyers.
“International investors are aware of the growing number of students they are sending to the UK and simply recognise the opportunity – this is especially prevalent in South East Asia,” said Justin Humphreys, Head of Business Development Asia Pacific at Vita Student.
Sedgewick added that more than 60 percent of the Liverpool project has now been sold following strong turnout at an event in Singapore last weekend.
