More new condos in Bangkok: report

Recent report from Colliers International Thailand revealed that about 16,000 condominium units were launched for sale in Bangkok in the first quarter of this year.
Posting a sales rate of 62 percent, the top-selling locations were recorded in Sukhumvit, New Phetchaburi, Rama III and Narathiwat Ratchanakarin roads.
Surachet Kongcheep, Senior Manager of the research noted that 16,070 condo units were launched in Q1 2013, up 2,840 units from 13,230 in the Q4 2012.
About 11,100 units were launched in the outer areas of Bangkok, while 5,000 in the inner zones, especially Phaholyothin and Ratchadaphisek.
The average price of new condo was THB67,650 psm, an increase of six percent from the previous quarter.
The most expensive downtown condo was priced more than THB162,500 psm.
