UK house for sale - for free

13 Jun 2013

By Andrew Batt:

A
house in South Wales could be become the cheapest home to be sold in
the United Kingdom when it comes under the hammer next week with a guide
price of £0.

The freehold mid-terrace property in the former
mining village of Nantymoel will be sold in Cardiff on June 20, however
the winning bidder cannot expect to live in their property immediately.

Auctioneer Paul Fosh told reporters that the freehold property would be ideal for anyone wanting a renovation project.

He
said: "The property is in need of complete renovation. The property has
not been inspected internally by the auctioneers, but the accommodation
is believed to be little more than a shell requiring complete
renovation. All there is left are the walls; it doesn’t even have slates
on the roof. It is unfit for human habitation.”

The house is believed to have fallen into disrepair after the former owner died more than ten years ago.
