Archetype Group has announced it has signed a contract for project management services on what will be the tallest building in Myanmar,
The news, coming just months after the company opened an office in the country, was awarded following a successful design review.
Located in close proximity to Inya Lake, The Diamond Inya Palace is a residential complex of 34 stories and a gross floor area of approximately 120,000 sqm. It will feature 406 apartments, four penthouses, and will include a spa, mini theatre and swimming pool.
Mark Petrovic, Managing Director of Archetype Group’s Yangon office, explained why Archetype was awarded this contract.
He said: “Many of the region’s developing cities are encouraging the addition of high-rise buildings to their skylines to promote a more sophisticated urban image. We are well-placed for this type of growth in Myanmar because of our solid high-rise experience across Southeast Asia and our knowledge of the local conditions and culture allows us to better understand and answer client expectations.”
Diamond Inya Palace is due to be completed in late 2015.
