Global property adviser Savills has established a presence in Jakarta, Indonesia – PT Savills Consultants Indonesia.
Chris Marriott, Chief Executive Officer of Savills Southeast Asia and Board Director of the Indonesian operations, said: “I am delighted to be opening our latest office in Asia Pacific, in Jakarta. This follows closely on our recent opening in Myanmar and further office openings in China and Taiwan, and is a testament to our commitment to continued growth in Asia.
The opening also marks the formalisation of our partnership with Property Connection Indonesia (“PCI”), a real estate business with a well-established position in the local market and a strong reputation for retail consultancy and leasing services”.
Jeremy Helsby, Group Chief Executive for Savills plc, commented: “This is another addition to our existing strong Asian network and is in line with our strategy to develop a long term presence in markets where we see growth potential and an opportunity to provide international advisory services to local clients”.
The new office in Jakarta will be headed by Jeffrey Hong, technical advisor at PCI, who will be a member of the Board of Commissioners.
PCI is the leading retail advisory and leasing agency and the team brings with them considerable experience and an extensive knowledge of the Indonesian property markets. Jeffrey Hong, Rosaline Lie and Juliana Manua and their team at PCI have leased over 16 million sq ft of retail malls, with a track record which includes renowned upcoming projects such as St. Moritz Mall (Jakarta), Lippo Mall Yogya (Jogjakarta), SMM Manado and SMM Makassar (Sulawesi) and Central Park (Bali).
Rosaline Lie, Director of PCI, added: “We are delighted to be partnering with Savills who we have identified as the best fit for our business in the Asia-Pacific region and look forward to expanding our own service delivery into the commercial, office and residential markets providing leasing, sales and investment advisory services”.
Robert McKellar, Savills Asia Pacific Cgief Executive Officer, concluded: “The Savills network of 500 associates and offices worldwide will benefit from the local knowledge which PCI brings to the organisation. This new addition will increase the Savills Asia-Pacific office strength to 47 operations across 12 countries in the region”.
