Confidence among new house buyers in Thailand is at its lowest point for eight years, according to the latest index from The Centre of Economics & Business Forecasting of the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce.
As reported by Colliers International Thailand in its latest Bangkok Condominium research report, confidence has continued to decline for the past 12 months to stand at 58.2, the lowest point for eight years.
According to Colliers the index shows that now is not currently a suitable time to buy new residences. This, it said, is because of the combined results of the economic slowdown in 2013 and the political problems which have impacted the confidence of most buyers.
It suggested that most buyers have opted to wait, or are taking more time to compare many projects before making a buying decision.
