Expo draws the crowds and sales

27 Aug 2014

Sales worth more than THB3.38 billion were done at last weekend’s 4-day Home Buyers’ Expo event in Bangkok – a 3 percent increase on the previous event.

More than 80,000 people, which the organisers described as being in line with expectations, attended the event and saw mortgages granted of more than THB18 billion – a 50 percent jump from the previous fair.

The NPA (non-performing asset) booths were proving to be especially popular with buyers and investors when DDproperty.com visited the event on Sunday afternoon.

Kitti Patpongpibul, the President of the Housing Finance Association, told DDproperty.com he was happy with the outcome.

“The success of the event shows that buyers’ confidence has been regained after the economic and political situation,” he said.
