Bangkok shopping centre Central Rama 9 has picked up a bronze award at the prestigious 6th edition of MIPIM Asia which honours outstanding real estate projects in the Asia Pacific region.
The MIPIM Asia jury ranked the 30 winning awards. Delegates also voted on site for their favourite project in each category, and their votes made up 50 percent of the decision. The final results were divulged at a gala dinner taking place at the prestigious Grand Hyatt Hotel in Hong Kong on Wednesday.
Central Rama 9, and its developer Central Pattana Public Company Limited, picked up the bronze award in the Best Retail and Leisure Development. It was the only award winner from Thailand.

The MIPIM Asia Awards jury, which selected the 2012 winners to compete for excellence, was chaired by Vincent H.S. LO, Chairman of Shui On Group and composed of an international panel of top real estate experts.
This year’s awards edition launched a new prize, entitled "Your Choice Award". The 30 winners have been submitted to a pre-MIPIM Asia online vote open to the public who selected the winner, which is: Zuellig Building, Makati City, Manila, Philippines, clearly standing out of the 11,140 votes which were collected the past two months.
