Property developers from Thailand will be targeting Chinese property buyers and investors at the Beijing International Property Exhibition which starts today.
Bangkok’s Magnolia Ratchadamri Boulevard and the Royal Phuket Marina are just two projects that will be showcased at the four-day exhibition in the Chinese capital.
Chinese visitors make up the largest contingent of foreign arrivals to Phuket, thanks to the 49 weekly flights to the island.
Thailand developers have previously exhibited in China but with limited success.
Andrew Batt, International Group Editor for PropertyGuru, said: “Developers and agents have reported only a few sales from previous events in China. The buying mentality of Chinese buyers is different from other nationalities, and developers and agents need to understand the culture and, ideally, work with native Chinese agents for maximum exposure and sales.”
