Thailand’s leading property developers and agencies will be battling for top honours at this week’s third annual South East Asia Property Awards, which take place in Singapore on Thursday.
The awards, which take place on October 31 at the Shangri-La Hotel, celebrate the industry’s most competitive residential real estate, construction, and design companies, as well as rewarding the professional property services on offer throughout the region.
Sansiri, named Best Developer (Thailand) and the 2013 Thailand Property Awards, will battle for regional honours with developers from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines and Vietnam.
Every shortlisted company will receive either a Winner’s trophy or a Highly Commended certificate, and all the awards will be presented by leading industry figures at the gala dinner and presentation ceremony.
As the independent monitor for the judging process, BDO Advisory confirmed that the scores for the awards had been tabulated appropriately, based on score sheets provided by the regional judges and after a meeting of the central judging panel.
“This year we received more entries than ever from from all over the region and some of the projects we were asked to judge could even be called ‘iconic’ in their respective countries,” said Alexander Karolik-Shlaen, chairman of the central panel.
“It was therefore not an easy task to narrow down to a shortlist, but after much discussion and examination I am confident we arrived at a consensus that aptly reflects the high quality of real estate currently on offer across South East Asia. ”
In the non-development categories, the shortlist of winners includes accomplished, proven developers from each of the countries represented in the awards, with landmark residential, commercial and resort projects across the region also filling the winners’ shortlist in the development categories.
“We were very pleased to see such a full spectrum of top quality regional developers and projects on the shortlist for the awards this year,” said Terry Blackburn, Chief Executive Officer of Ensign Media, the organisers of the awards and publishers of Property Report magazine.
“It is encouraging to see the awards grow each year in terms of their breadth and scope, with top property sector companies from all around the region keen to enter and be judged alongside their peers. I wish all the shortlisted companies the best on the night and also thank the judges for selecting such a strong and balanced field.”
