The much-anticipated Makkasan mega project looks set to be finally given the go ahead by the Governor of the State Railway of Thailand.
The project, adjacent to the airport link, was first touted seven years ago. Governor Prapat Chongsanguan said this week that the terms of reference for an auction of the land are expected to be released within two months.
The complex is expected to become a large source of revenue for the State Railway. Plans for the 400-rai site include a cultural centre, green area, as well as commercial, office, retail and exhibition zones.
