Award-winning niche British developer Almaren is unveiling the second phase of new homes in the iconic tower at The Marque (pictured), Cambridge, to buyers in Asia this weekend.
The tower is the tallest residential development in the city, giving unrivalled views over the churches and colleges of Cambridge. Arranged over nine floors and priced from £250,000 to £1.5 million, the tower offers high specification apartments as well as a 2,697 sq ft, three-storey penthouse – the largest and highest in the British University City.
With the world’s top ranking university, Cambridge has a strong reputation for education. As well as being one of the oldest seats of learning, there are more than 30 independent and state schools which serve pupils from nursery to secondary school age, all of which are second to none in quality. In total, Cambridge has produced 88 Nobel Prize winners, with the oldest college, Peterhouse, opening in 1284.
Rachel Carroll, Marketing and Business Development Executive for Almaren, said: “We really believe that The Marque will appeal to investment-savvy Asian buyers. Not only will the apartments here offer fantastic accommodation for those with children attending Cambridge University or the excellent local schools, but also they are guaranteed to produce a significant return on investment. Whilst offering high levels of security, the exceptional specification of the apartments will appeal to those who are also looking for a taste of luxury.”
The crowning jewel of the development is certainly the penthouse, which is coming to the market for £1.5 million. Working closely with award winning Suna Interior Design and supplier Porcelanosa, the buyer has the opportunity to make their mark on the penthouse, currently an empty shell, to create a one off home in this prestigious development. Along with bespoke furniture, material and appliance choices, the buyer can also have input on the internal wall structure of the penthouse, which also includes a spacious roof terrace and twin balconies.
Some 40 percent of the luxury homes in the first sales phase at The Marque have now been sold off-plan with the entire development scheduled for completion in early 2014.
Almaren will be unveiling the first homes in the iconic tower on an invitation only basis to interested buyers in Hong Kong at the end of September.
