Stone laid at iconic waterfront project

Country Group Development has laid the first stone for its mixed-use waterfront project on Bangkok’s Charoenkrung Road in Sathorn district.

The THB11.6 billion financial framework deal was signed between China’s EXIM Bank, who will fund the project, and the joint-venture agreement with Beijing Construction Engineering Group International as both partner and main contractor.

Country Group celebrated the foundation stone laying ceremony to mark the first auspicious merit making occasion for its aforementioned flagship landmark waterfront project.

The ultra-luxury, mixed-use property will be comprised of two luxury hotels and a 73-storye branded residential tower situated on 36-rai with a 350-metre waterfront promenade –the longest on the Chao Phraya River.

The project has received both its EIA and 39 thawi approvals, and piling works were due to start imAmediately following the ceremony.
