Exhibition postponed over 'political situation'

20 Jul 2012

EXCLUSIVE: A high profile property exhibition set to happen in Bangkok in November has been postponed due to what the organisers have said are concerns surrounding the political situation in the country.

The Thailand Overseas Property and Lifestyle Show was scheduled to take place at the Bangkok Convention Centre in the Thai capital in November 2012.

A message on the event website said: “This exhibition has been currently postponed due to concerns over the future political situation in Thailand. If the current situation improves then the exhibition maybe (sic) organised in the future in 2013 or 2014.”

A source with knowledge of the event told DDProperty.com that sales of exhibition booths for the event had not reached expected levels.

The organisers did not immediately return a request for comment.
