The Southeast Asia Property Awards Real Estate Personality of the Year for 2013 has been named as Eric Chan, the Deputy Managing Director of Malaysian developer Eastern & Oriental Berhad (E&O).
The award, which is selected by the editors of Property Report magazine, will be presented at the Awards Gala Dinner which will be held at Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore on October 31, 2013.
“We felt Eric Chan was a deserving recipient of the award for 2013 based on his proven ability to drive innovation and growth in the Malaysian real estate sector” said Jules Kay, Managing Editor of Property Report magazine.
“E&O is well known for its game-changing projects like the 240-acre Seri Tanjung Pinang in Penang and St. Mary Residences in Kuala Lumpur. More recently, with the Avira wellness-themed mixed development in Medini, Iskandar Malaysia, Eric and his team have raised the bar once again.”
Chan joined E&O Property Development Berhad as Director of Corporate and Investment in May 2003. He was appointed Executive Director of Eastern & Oriental Berhad in May 2006 and was promoted to Deputy Managing Director in 2011.
