Thailand move for LJ Hooker

19 Sep 2013

Australian real estate agency LJ Hooker has moved into Thailand with the announcement of a strategic agreement with Siam Real Estate, one of Thailand’s leading independent real estate companies.

Georg Chmiel, LJ Hooker’s Chief Executive Officer, said the agreement will primarily expand the geographic reach, lead generation and business opportunities for both companies. The alliance is expected to focus on referrals for listings and buyers in their respective markets.

“This is the first arrangement of its nature for LJ Hooker in Thailand where we are not yet represented by offices on the ground. It’s another step forward in continuing to build our brand throughout the world,” said Chmiel.

Siam Real Estate was established in 2003 by expat-Englishmen Richard Lusted and son Patrick. It claims more than 4,500 residential new, resale, land and rental property listings.

“We are pleased to align with LJ Hooker, Australia’s most respected real estate group, said Richard Lusted.

“This agreement will extend the reach of our business into the Australia’s marketplace for those looking to buy or rent holiday homes in Thailand and will provide LJ Hooker with valuable local knowledge and properties in this emerging marketplace.”
