Singapore launch for Ananda's Ideo

24 Sep 2013

Ananda Development became the latest Thailand developer to hold the world preview of its latest property development in Singapore last weekend when it showcased its Ideo Q Ratchathewi project.

The listed developer launched its latest project – a 323 unit residential development in Bangkok’s central business district – at a property exhibition in the city-state in association with Huttons International. Completion is expected in March 2016.

Dr. John Millar, Head of Financial Strategy and Investor Relations, told DDproperty.com: “The interest was more than I expected; it was standing room only at the talk, and we’lll see over the next few weeks how much of this interest is converted to sales.

“We believe that affordable units close to mass transit stations in a nation’s capital city is an investment story that can be easily understood everywhere in the world, and is an attractive product for investors everywhere.

“Singapore is a nation that understands the value of a mass transit system and is a major investor in Thailand, so its people are familiar with Thai real estate.”

He added that brand building is something that will take place over many years and in many markets.

Last year Thai developer SC Asset was the first developer from Thailand to hold a sales event in Singapore ahead of launching sales in the Thai capital.

Thailand property investments have been growing in popularity with Singaporeans this year, with a record number of Thai property developers making the short trip south to try and tempt buyers and investors to buy property in the Land of Smiles.
