PropertyGuru Group, Asia’s leading online property portal, has revealed it has achieved more than 1 million downloads for its mobile apps in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand.
Founded in 2006, Singapore-based PropertyGuru Group now operated more than 15 mobile apps – all of which have been launched in just the last two years. DDproperty.com – Thailand’s number one property portal – is part of PropertyGuru Group.
PropertyGuru Group also revealed that mobile property searches for its Singapore site accounts for more than half of all visits, with property seekers viewing an average of 20 million pages every month.
Chief Executive Officer and Group co-Founder Steve Melhuish said that they first saw the “enormous potential in investing in mobile technology” in 2011, when about 20 percent of their consumers were house-hunting on mobile devices.
“This figure has doubled within two years, opening up fantastic opportunities for PropertyGuru to be even more connected with them,” he said.
Within a one-year period starting from July 2012, PropertyGuru Group saw 12 times the number of downloads for its mobile apps in Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia. Excluding Singapore, the company is recording around 1,400 downloads each day.
