Potential buyers who are seeking hotel investments can explore new opportunities in Thailand.

Beach Republic, a club and resort on Lamai Beach in Koh Samui recently announced its “Holiday + Invest” trips, which lets purchasers experience the resort’s facilities for themselves.

If an investor decides to purchase a club suite while on holiday at the resort, they receive a reimbursement for their stay of up to four days and three nights worth US$600.

Each club suite measures 55 sqm and costs US$195,000.

The resort is promising five years guaranteed rental yield of seven percent. Rental payments are settled every quarter, and from the 6th year onwards rental income will be split 50/50 with the management company.

Opened in 2008, the 41-room luxury beach resort is just a short drive from the international airport. Aside from club suites, there are one- to four-bedroom villas and two penthouses. Facilities include a restaurant, spa with steam room, fitness area and infinity-edge pools.

Tim Dean-Smith, Chairman and CEO of Beach Republic, said: “Many of our guests are seeking profitable rental investments that simultaneously allow them to visit regularly and earn passive rental income without the hassle of managing their property. Beach Republic is a great choice for someone who enjoys taking beach holidays and investors buying club suites which are already completed.”

According to a report by consultancy C9 Hotelworks, average room rates in Koh Samui have increased by US$8 to US$162 per night in 2014 compared to last year.

Meanwhile, Thailand’s tourism industry is booming. Figures from the United Nations World Tourism Organization (WTO) revealed that is 2013, the country saw an 88 percent jump in tourist arrivals over a five-year period and for the first time, entered the world’s Top 10 most visited countries.
