A large, rare plot of prime riverfront land in the centre of Bangkok is being marketed for sale by Colliers International Thailand.
The 10-rai plot is bounded by both Charoennakorn Road and the Chao Phraya River, one of the most prominent landmarks in Bangkok. It is in close to BTS Taksin station and near the central business district. With its stunning river views and location amongst high-end residential and prestigious hotels, it is considered one of the last remaining large riverfront land plots available in Bangkok.
The land is used as a distribution centre for Sermsuk however the plot is considered to be highly suitable for commercial, hotel, and high-end residential development.
Simon Landy, Executive Chairman of Colliers International Thailand, said: “Colliers International Thailand is very pleased to be appointed as the sole agent to sell this very prestigious piece of land located on the bank of the Chao Phraya River and Charoennakorn Road.
“The land is being sold by tender and bids need to be submitted on September 19, 2014. There is plenty of time for any potential bidders to consider and make appointments for site visits.
“Real estate developers and large private corporations have long known that the opportunity to acquire such a beautiful plot of freehold land located on both the river bank and on a major road is extremely rare. Moreover, the land is proximity to the central business district, the sky train and road networks gives great accessibility which makes the land even more interesting,” he added.
The property is located in a Brown Zone, which is defined as being for the development of high-density residential projects with a Floor Area Ratio of 6:1, resulting in a maximum gross floor area of 96,000 sqm. From Colliers’ preliminary study, the land has potential for various forms of high-rise development such as hotels, condominiums and commercial buildings.
Interested bidders must register with Colliers International Thailand in order to obtain the bidding package until September 18, 2014. The bid submission is set for September 19, 2014.
