EXCLUSIVE: Singaporean property buyers, not put off by the recent military intervention in Thailand, were out in force at last weekend’s Thailand Property Show.
The event, which focused on property investment opportunities from Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket, was organised by PropertyGuru Group and its market-leading Thailand property website DDproperty.com.
The keynote address was given by His Excellency Khun Marut Jitpatima, Thailand’s Ambassador to Singapore. His Excellency stressed that it’s business as usual in Thailand, and that consumer and business confidence has returned to the kingdom.
One developer attracting significant interest was Origin Property. The company picked the Thailand Property Show in Singapore to hold the world launch of its latest Bangkok development – Villa LaSalle in Sukhumvit 105, Bangkok – and was rewarded with confirmed sales and hot leads.
Perry Chong, Vice President of International Sales and Marketing, told PropertyGuru: “I’m very pleased with the response to our projects at the Thailand Property Show. Singaporeans are obviously concerned about the situation in Thailand, but they’re asking good questions and understand the good value that our projects can offer.”
Origin Property’s Villa LaSalle development will not be sold in Bangkok until the end of next month, so Singapore buyers were able to take advantage of prime unit selection and soft-launch pricing which started from less than S$64,000 for a partially-furnished 25 sqm unit in the 353-unit 8-storey project,
Expert speakers at the event also identified how more searches from property to buy, sell and rent in Bangkokis happening at the far ends of the BTS skytrain systems, including Bearing and Udomsuk to the south and Ari to the north of the city.
