The niche interior has been dramatically “sexed up” with coffered ceiling with light features, cocktail-bar shelving with wall mirrors and LED shelving, a black-metallic panelled, gold edged, drinks bar and bar-stools, Louis Vuitton style dark-wood panelled fitted cupboards and ebony coloured faux leather flooring.
Doors open onto an outside cocktail terrace complete with table and chairs – a superb setting for evening drinks. Inside, there is also a drinks area with cosy bespoke sofa, matching rug and hotel-style feature chairs. Even the Art Nouveau style bathroom with its black and gold patterned mosaics, Deco lights, and gold and silver feature butterflies feels like something out of Claridges rather than a small studio flat.
However behind the cocktail-bar exterior are all the features required to convert the space into a cosy home. Skilfully hidden within the bar is a hob, oven, drawers and cupboards allowing the space to convert into a kitchen, with the worktop and bar-stools providing a stylish breakfast/dining area.
The sofa and drinks area converts into a bedroom suite, with the wall panelling opening to reveal an ingenious split-built in cupboard/wardrobe one side serving as storage for clothing and accessories, the other a fold-away utility room with washing machine, shelving for ironing board and other domestic appliances.
